Question!❓❓❓❓ Why doesn’t God answer my prayers that I ask many times?
Answer! 💡
Many of us have asked this question at one point in our lives: “Why isn’t God answering my prayers?” It’s a hard place to be in, especially when you’re praying with all your heart and still feel like nothing is happening. But I want to share something that might give you a new perspective—something deeper than what most people usually say.
God does not have a problem healing you or blessing you. He owns everything, and there is nothing too hard for Him. The issue isn’t always the request—it’s the relationship. Sometimes, we only go to God when we want something. We treat Him like a backup plan or a vending machine: we insert a prayer and expect instant results. But God wants more than that. He wants your heart.
In Matthew 6:33, it says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” That means our first focus should be on God—on knowing Him, loving Him, and spending time with Him—not just on what He can give us.
God wants to know that we desire Him, not just the miracle. Think about it—how would you feel if someone only came to you when they needed money or a favor? Eventually, you’d feel used, not valued. That’s how many of us treat God. We pray only when we’re desperate, but ignore Him when life is going smoothly.
In James 4:3 it says, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.” Sometimes our prayers go unanswered because our hearts are in the wrong place. We’re chasing blessings but not the Blesser.
Take some time to test your heart. Ask yourself: Do I want God, or do I just want what He can do for me? If you truly want to experience more of God, start spending time with Him—not just when you’re in need, but daily. Read His Word, talk to Him, worship Him, and listen.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Notice it starts with delight yourself in the Lord. When we make Him the priority, He aligns our desires with His will, and our prayers begin to shift. We stop asking just for things, and we start asking for more of Him—and that’s when everything changes.
God sees your heart. He knows when you’re serious about a relationship with Him. And the beautiful thing is, when you truly seek Him, you’ll realize that having Him is more than enough—even before the blessing comes.
So today, let’s not just pray because we want something. Let’s pray because we want God. Desire Him, honor Him, and trust that He knows what’s best—even when the answer is “not yet.”
