Hey everyone,

I just needed a safe space to share what’s been on my heart lately because I’m really feeling discouraged. I’ve been seeing a guy I met on a Christian dating app. At first, things seemed promising. His profile said all the right things—he claimed to be looking for a serious relationship, said he was a man of faith, and wanted to build something godly. But over time, I started sensing something was off. He avoids talks about exclusivity, and I got the sinking feeling he’s not really in it for a committed relationship. After some digging, I found out he wasn’t even honest about major parts of his life—including the fact that he has children, which he never mentioned.

It’s confusing and honestly, heartbreaking. I just don’t understand why some men go on Christian sites claiming they want a godly relationship, and then turn around and lie. Why pretend? Why play with people’s hearts—especially when we’re out here trying to honor God in how we date? Dating in today’s world is already rough. I really try to keep my faith strong, but lately I’ve felt like giving up on it altogether. Then I remembered something I heard on a podcast last Friday—it said, “Let go and let God.” That hit me hard. Maybe I’ve been trying too hard to force something that God never ordained. I’m trying to trust that this battle isn’t mine. That God sees what I don’t. That if I stop trying to make something out of nothing, He’ll lead me to someone who actually values me and reflects the love of Christ. But right now… I’m just bummed out. Please keep me in your prayers. I really need strength, clarity, and healing.
