It’s fascinating how quickly people prepare when they hear about a storm on the horizon. A hurricane warning, a tornado watch — and people rush to the stores, stock up on water, flashlights, canned goods, batteries, and anything else they think they might need. They board up their homes, gas up their cars, and prepare for the worst. Yet, when it comes to the condition of their soul, many people remain completely unbothered. There’s no sense of urgency, no preparation, no concern about the state of their relationship with God. They care more about surviving a temporary storm than securing their eternity.

Jesus rebuked this kind of mindset in Matthew 16:2-3:

“When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.”

Jesus was saying — you can forecast the weather, but you can’t see the spiritual storm forming right in front of you.

Right now, the signs of the times are everywhere. Moral decay, violence, corruption, deception — the world is growing darker, and many can feel that something isn’t right. But instead of turning to God, people are looking for temporary comforts, false escapes, and distractions to keep them from facing the truth.

But hear this clearly — there is a storm coming. It won’t be a natural disaster, but a divine one. God’s judgment is coming to this world, and those who have not repented and turned to Him will have nowhere to hide. In the days of Noah, God sent a flood to cleanse the earth of its wickedness. But before the flood came, Noah preached righteousness and built the ark as a warning to the people. For 120 years, Noah labored, not just in constructing the ark but in calling people to repent. Yet the people mocked him. They continued living life as usual — eating, drinking, marrying — completely blind to the storm that was about to overtake them.

Genesis 7:16 gives us a chilling reminder:

“Then the Lord shut him in.”

Once God shut the door of the ark, it was too late. The rain began to fall, and those outside the ark were doomed. Jesus compared the coming judgment to the days of Noah in Luke 17:26-27:

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.”

We are living in those days right now. People are living life, making plans, chasing dreams, and ignoring the warnings that the time is short. Many are so focused on the news, politics, the economy, or even the next weather disaster that they are neglecting the most important preparation they’ll ever need: getting their soul right with God.

Isaiah 55:6-7 says:

“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.”

God is still giving us time. The door is still open. The invitation to repent, to confess your sins, and to turn your life over to Jesus is still available. But the day is coming when that door will shut — just like it did in Noah’s time.

Some may ask, “What must I do to be saved?” The Bible answers clearly in Acts 3:19:

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

Repentance is not just saying sorry. It’s a turning away from sin — a deliberate decision to walk in obedience to God and follow Jesus Christ. It’s acknowledging that without Him, we are lost. Many are looking for an escape route when trouble hits, but I want to tell you — there will be no escape apart from Jesus. He is the ark of safety in the coming storm. He is the refuge in times of trouble. But you must come to Him now.

2 Corinthians 6:2 warns us:

“I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

The storm is coming — don’t wait until it’s too late to prepare. The forecast for your soul is the only forecast that truly matters. Get right with God now. Repent, believe in the Gospel, and live ready — because the kingdom of God is at hand.

Everything that is happening in the world today is a prime example that things are really happening and people need to wake up. You said a whole word about this when you mention about how there is a shaking. They’re literally looking for the storms but it ain’t the storms. It’s all shaking all around the world with the jobs. Everything that is going on in the world today the killings people have to wake up and many have to understand that we are in a time where God is really coming back. ❣️💖
