“I told the Lord that when I get to heaven, we’re going on a safari. We’ll see every animal, walk side by side, and I’ll never be afraid — because in His arms, I’ll finally be home.”
🌈 Series: Discovering Heaven: Visions Beyond the Clouds

I’ve always wondered what kind of work we’ll do in heaven — not the stressful kind like on earth, but that beautiful, peaceful kind that fills your soul with joy. You know how God said that we’ll continue to serve Him even in His Kingdom? Somewhere in scripture, He made it clear that our work for Him never truly ends. It just becomes more glorious. So I started to dream about it — what if the things we do here on earth are just practice for what we’ll be doing up there?
Think about it. Maybe the singers who praise Him now will lead choirs of angels. The helpers, those who love to care for others, might be assigned to heavenly missions — comforting souls, welcoming new arrivals, or tending to the gardens that surround the throne of God. Those who love teaching might be guides for the newly arrived, showing them around the golden streets, explaining the mysteries of heaven’s beauty. Maybe the builders and the creatives will be the ones designing new mansions, adding light and laughter to the already perfect Kingdom.
And then I wonder — for those who have always been close to God, who love Him with every part of their heart and mind — what will He have for us to do? Will some of us be kings and queens in certain heavenly realms? Or maybe, just maybe, we’ll be His messengers — the ones who walk closely with Him, bringing news, blessings, and joy throughout His Kingdom. Imagine being at His beck and call, not because we have to, but because we want to. Saying, “Lord, whatever You need, I’m here.” Just being near Him, knowing that He trusts us, that He smiles when He sees us coming.
Heaven, to me, feels like a community. Everyone will have a place, a purpose, and a role that fits their spirit perfectly. No jealousy, no pain, no misunderstandings — just love and unity. And I believe that even on the new earth, we’ll work to keep things beautiful. Maybe we’ll care for nature, keep the land glowing and green, and enjoy endless feasts together at the table that the Lord has prepared. There will be worship, music, scriptures, and laughter. We’ll sing songs that no one has ever heard before, and the best part — we’ll never get tired. God said there’s no more weariness in His Kingdom. Every day will feel brand new.
But what I can’t wait for the most is the moment when I get to see the Lord face to face. I already made plans with Him in my heart. I told Him, “Lord, when I get there, we’re going on a safari.” I want to see all the animals — the lions, the elephants, the creatures we’ve never even seen before — and walk among them without fear. Because in heaven, there’s no danger, no harm. I’ll be in His arms, in spirit, free from all worry. He’ll show me everything He created, and it will be the most amazing adventure ever.
And I imagine the joy of meeting all those who came before us — the apostles, the prophets, the great men and women of faith. Paul, Luke, John — they’ll be like our older brothers, welcoming us home. Maybe they’ll say, “We already knew who you were. You just didn’t know that you were one of us.” And together we’ll laugh, we’ll tell stories, and we’ll thank God for all the ways He brought us through.
I truly believe heaven will be that — a place where love reigns, where friendship never ends, and where our work is no longer toil but pure purpose. So let’s dream together. What do you think heaven will be like? What job do you think God has waiting for you there? Let’s imagine the Kingdom together, and let our hearts rise a little closer to where we’ll someday belong.
