This is truly terrible. They’re talking about a 175-mile-per-hour wind landfall for Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica. This is going to be catastrophic. We’re praying for everybody out there in Jamaica that may be going through anything right now. I did take a chance to post up the video for Mr. Weatherman so that you guys could follow along and see exactly what I am talking about.

This is truly terrible. They’re talking about a 175-mile-per-hour wind landfall for Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica, and honestly, my heart just dropped when I heard it. This is going to be absolutely catastrophic if it hits the way they’re saying. I can’t even imagine what the people there must be feeling right now, trying to prepare or get to safety with something that strong headed their way.
I just want to take a moment to say that we’re praying for everybody out there in Jamaica — every family, every child, every person who may be going through anything right now. Storms like this are terrifying, and sometimes all we can do is come together in prayer and hope for protection.
I did take a chance to post up the video from Mr. Weatherman so you guys can actually see what I’m talking about. It’s unreal to watch the satellite images and the wind speeds they’re tracking. The updates are changing fast, but as of now, it looks really bad. Please, if you’re out there or you have family there, make sure they’re paying attention to the warnings and doing everything they can to stay safe.
Let’s use this thread to keep each other updated, share news, and pray together. I’ll keep posting updates as they come in, especially if the storm shifts or weakens — but right now, it’s not looking good.
Stay safe, everyone. Jamaica, we’re with you in prayer. 💔🙏
Thank you for posting this, Angela. I didn’t even realize how serious it was until I watched that clip. I’m praying that the storm weakens before it makes landfall. Sending love and strength to Jamaica right now. Please keep updating if you hear anything new.

I can’t even wrap my head around this. Jamaica has been through storms before, but this sounds like it’s on another level. I watched the video you posted that storm looks like a monster. Praying for God’s mercy and protection over every single person on that island.

I just saw that same weather report, Angela. This is beyond scary. 175 mph winds? That’s like total destruction. My cousin lives in Kingston, and she said people are panicking and trying to find shelter. I’m praying nonstop for everyone there right now. 🙏
