I’ve been using Babel Audio, and honestly, I’m starting to get frustrated with how the platform actually works compared to what it claims. They say you can talk about topics and have conversations, but why aren’t we able to choose our topics before getting matched into a live session?
Instead, you’re thrown into a conversation and expected to figure it out on the spot. That’s not efficient, and it definitely doesn’t help people perform better—especially when you’re being evaluated. It would make way more sense if we could select topics ahead of time, prepare, and then get matched with people who want to talk about the same thing.
Another issue is the audio quality and connection problems. The platform relies on recording conversations to train AI systems , but when the audio glitches or cuts out, somehow it feels like the user gets blamed. That’s unfair when it’s clearly a system issue.
What makes it worse is that these problems can affect your opportunities and limit how much work you can get. The concept is great, but the execution needs serious improvement.
