Thereโ€™s something about this verse that just sits deep in my spirit and wonโ€™t let me go. When it talks about offering your body as a living sacrifice, that hit me different. Because a sacrifice isnโ€™t something easy. Itโ€™s not comfortable. Itโ€™s not convenient. Itโ€™s something you give upโ€ฆ fully. And when I really sat with that, I realizedโ€”God isnโ€™t just asking for a moment from us. Heโ€™s asking for us.

Not halfway. Not when it feels good. Not only when things are going right. But even when it hurts. Even when it doesnโ€™t make sense. A living sacrifice means waking up every day and choosing God, even when everything in you wants to go back to whatโ€™s familiar. Choosing Him when the world says, โ€œDo what makes you happy.โ€ Choosing Him when your situation looks dead, when people count you out, when nothing around you reflects what God promised.

That part about not conforming to this worldโ€ฆ thatโ€™s real. Because the world will pull on you. It will try to shape you, break you, and make you believe that what you see is all there is. But Iโ€™ve learned that what we see isnโ€™t always the truth. God moves in ways we canโ€™t always understand. And sometimes the biggest act of faith is saying, โ€œGod, I trust you,โ€ when nothing around you is giving you a reason to.

And thatโ€™s where the renewing of your mind comes in. Because if you donโ€™t let God change the way you think, youโ€™ll keep going back. Back to old habits. Back to old ways. Back to things God already brought you out of. And Iโ€™m learning that just because something feels familiar doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™s right. Sometimes going back is easierโ€”but itโ€™s not better.

What God showed me is that being transformed isnโ€™t about perfection. Itโ€™s about surrender. Itโ€™s about saying, โ€œGod, even when I donโ€™t understand, Iโ€™m still choosing you.โ€ Itโ€™s trusting Him enough to believe that what He has for you is greater than what youโ€™re holding onto. And I know for me, Iโ€™ve had moments where I didnโ€™t see how things were going to work out. I didnโ€™t understand the process. I didnโ€™t like what I was going through. But deep down, there was something in me that said, โ€œKeep going. Trust Him anyway.โ€

Because Iโ€™ve felt Him. Iโ€™ve seen Him move in my life. And even when people say something is dead, something in my spirit says, โ€œNo, God is not finished.โ€ Thatโ€™s how I know He lives. Not just because of stories. Not just because of what Iโ€™ve heard. But because of what Heโ€™s done in me.

He changes you. He shifts your mindset. He gives you strength you didnโ€™t have before. He makes you see differently. And thatโ€™s something nobody can take away from you. So yeahโ€ฆ being a living sacrifice is not easy. But itโ€™s worth it. Because I truly believe God is doing something so big in my life that when it happens, nobody will be able to take the credit but Him.

And Iโ€™m holding onto that.

So even when itโ€™s hardโ€ฆ even when it doesnโ€™t feel goodโ€ฆ even when I donโ€™t understandโ€”Iโ€™m going to keep choosing God. Iโ€™m going to keep trusting Him. Iโ€™m not going back to what He delivered me from just because Iโ€™m uncomfortable right now. Because I know who He is. And thatโ€™s enough for me.
