As a Christian woman who has rededicated her life to Christ, I want to speak truth with love and boldness: God does not bless anything that is out of His divine order. Likewise, wives are called to “submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:22). But let’s be clear—submission does not mean silence in abuse, nor does leadership mean license to dominate. Both roles are meant to reflect Christ’s character. So when a husband uses his role to control, neglect, or belittle his wife, or when a wife undermines, disrespects, or dishonors her husband, they have both stepped out of the will of God.
