Why Is Trump So Focused on the White House Decorations Right Now Instead of the War?

I just need to rant for a minute. There is so much going on right now in the country and the world, and it feels like one of the main things being talked about is how the White House looks. I get that the White House is historic and should be maintained, but with everything happening economy issues, conflicts, people struggling it just seems like the priorities are off.
It’s frustrating because people expect leadership to focus on the big problems affecting everyday lives. Instead, we keep hearing about renovations and appearances. Maybe I’m missing something, but it just feels like the wrong thing to be worried about right now. What do you all think? Is this actually important or should the focus be somewhere else?
Honestly I feel like leadership should focus more on the people than appearances. The White House is important historically, but the country has bigger issues that need attention right now.

I think a lot of times things get blown up in the media. Every administration changes things about the White House. But I do agree that right now people are more worried about the economy and daily life than how the building looks.
