As protests rise again in Los Angeles and tensions continue to build in our nation, many believers are asking an important question: Where is God in all of this? And more than that, Is this all part of something much bigger than politics?
Some have boldly declared that Trump could be the Antichrist. But let’s pause. That’s a huge claim—one that requires real spiritual discernment, not emotional speculation. Instead, let’s do what we should’ve been doing from the beginning: go back to the Word of God.
In 1 Samuel chapter 12, we see a powerful lesson. The people of Israel demanded a king. They no longer wanted to be governed by the voice of God through prophets. They wanted a human ruler like other nations. God gave them Saul—not because it was His perfect will, but because of their hardened hearts. In verse 12 it says:
“But when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but a king shall reign over us’—when the Lord your God was your king.” (1 Samuel 12:12, NKJV)
This was rebellion, plain and simple. And although Samuel warned them about the consequences of having a king (see 1 Samuel 8), the people insisted. God allowed it, but not without consequences. Samuel made it clear in 1 Samuel 12:14-15:
“If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice… then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. However, if you do not obey… then the hand of the Lord will be against you, as it was against your fathers.”

Let’s translate that to what we’re seeing now in America.
Trump, like Saul, was seen by many as a “savior” figure. He made bold promises to minorities, immigrants, and the working class—claiming he would restore strength, prosperity, and national greatness. But time has exposed a lot of falsehoods and empty declarations. Like Saul, who eventually disobeyed God and operated out of pride, Trump has made repeated claims of power without acknowledging God’s authority.
He has said things that elevate himself over divine leadership, even proclaiming, “I alone can fix it.” That right there is a warning sign. Any leader who refuses to give reverence to God and acts as if they are the solution is already walking in rebellion. Scripture tells us plainly that pride leads to downfall.
Yet even with all this, does it make Trump the Antichrist? No—not necessarily. Scripture doesn’t currently confirm that. We’re told in 2 Thessalonians 2 that the “man of lawlessness” will exalt himself above all that is called God and demand worship. While Trump has been boastful and disruptive, we have not yet seen the full characteristics that define the Antichrist. The Holy Spirit has not confirmed such a thing, and speculation without confirmation becomes a dangerous slope.
What we can confirm is this: the pattern we saw in 1 Samuel is repeating itself. The people wanted a king more than they wanted God. And now we’ve gotten what we wanted—a man with charisma, defiance, and promises of greatness, who’s led this nation into division and confusion.

But here’s the twist:
The danger doesn’t stop with Trump. The real threat might come after him—someone who comes along and promises peace and unity after all the chaos. Someone who looks like a solution but is actually a puppet of darkness. Scripture warns us in Revelation 13:3-4 that the beast will arise after a period of destruction and “the whole world marveled and followed the beast.”
This will be someone who brings false peace, someone who will offer to “Make America Great Again” in a deeper, more spiritual deception. And it won’t stop with America.
The call for a New World Order will rise, and soon, talks may even begin about rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem—a biblical sign that we are entering the final hour. This temple, historically known as the Third Temple, is what many believe must be rebuilt before the Antichrist reveals himself fully (see Daniel 9:27 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4).
That’s why we can’t get too distracted by one man. Whether it’s Trump, or the next leader who comes behind him, the message is the same:
Turn back to God. Obey His voice. Stop chasing human kings.
If we don’t, Scripture is clear: both we and our leaders will fall together.
Let the protests happen—they are necessary. But even more necessary is repentance. That’s the only way we escape what’s coming next.

I loved this! I think its terrible how so many ignore the obvious they give this man every excuse knowing that he is a criminal and a liar. GOnone of these things! Yes we forgive, but at the end of the day we have to hold each person accountable for what they do
