There are some stories so difficult, so complex, that people would rather whisper about them than understand them. One woman’s story is one of those. Let us never forget that Jesus spent time with the outcasts. He touched the lepers, spoke with the adulterers, and called tax collectors to be his disciples. Why? Because he saw more than what they had done—he saw who they could become.

No one has the right to condemn someone else to a lifetime of shame. If God, the Holy One, can forgive and restore, who are we to cast stones?
