One thing that God taught me is that He never changes, but people do. This is why we must make sure that we listen to God’s voice. A lot of times God speaks to us repeatedly, reminding us over and over again that we can only place our trust in Him.
In today’s world, it is dangerous to rely solely on what man says without first consulting God. The Bible tells us clearly, “I am the way, the truth, and the light. No one comes to the Father except through me.” That’s powerful. That’s a reminder. Every single day, people show us that they are not perfect. Every single day, we see proof that humans fail, we grow weary, we lose faith, and we waver. And yet, we still put our trust in fragile human beings who change like the wind.
But God never gave up on us. Not once. He has proven Himself faithful over and over again. No matter how wrong man can be, God will always be right. No matter how right a person seems, God’s truth stands above it all. He is all-knowing, infinite, the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end. And this is why I love Him so much. He cares for us in ways no human ever could. He makes sure that when I call on His name, I receive what I need.
But here’s the truth: God has never changed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. He has no reason to make you feel less than. He loves in spite of. He corrects in love. He saves with grace. And this is why He alone is our Savior, the way, the truth, and the light—because He defeated death itself.
The problem is that many people are searching for God in other people, instead of going directly to Him. People can and will fail you. People can be wrong. And because of this, many have lost their way. But God is calling us back. He’s been calling out to the hearts of people for a very long time. Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. We’ve been hearing it for generations, but still many don’t grasp what it truly means.
It’s not about religion. It’s not about appearances. It’s not about where you came from, what you have, or even what you’ve done in your past. It’s about the heart. When you can mourn for someone who has lost their life, or feel compassion for a hungry child even when your own family has food—then you are beginning to know the heart of God. But if you only care about yourself, your own life, your own strength, then you’re missing what God is really about.
God wants to know that you value Him, that you love Him, and that you’re willing to lay your life down so He can give you a new one. That’s what Jesus Christ is all about. Repentance. Surrender. Honoring our Father. That’s the way to live a life not only blessed on this earth but eternal with Him when the new heaven and new earth are revealed.
Jesus is looking for a people who will rise up and spread the gospel, who will be kingdom builders and not kingdom tear-downers. He’s not looking for perfection—He’s looking for a heart that is ready, a heart that is willing, a heart that says yes.
So, I challenge you today: Get to know the Lord for yourself. Not through people, not through the world, but through His Word and His Spirit. Because people will always change. But God never will. And that, my friends, is the greatest hope we have.
