I just want to take a moment to speak from my heart today. This has been heavy on my spirit, and I know somebody out there needs this encouragement. One of the biggest lessons God has shown me is this: do not allow other peopleโs energy to set you back from the progress you have already made.
See, sometimes we connect ourselves with people who truly donโt deserve usโnot because we are better than them, but because they have not yet committed themselves to moving forward in Christ. Theyโre still holding on to the past, still stuck in cycles that God already delivered us from. And if weโre not careful, their energy, their choices, their unwillingness to grow can slow us down or even drag us backward.
The truth is, when you decide to go on a journey with the Lord, not everybody is going to be ready to take that journey with you. And many times, we try to pull or drag people along who just arenโt prepared for the path God has laid out. The Bible tells us in Amos 3:3, โCan two walk together, except they be agreed?โ If the people around you arenโt walking in the same agreement with God, then sooner or later, thereโs going to be conflict, distraction, or delay.
Thatโs why itโs so important to stay away from people who want to live in the past when God has already called you to the future. Philippians 3:13โ14 says, โForgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.โ You canโt run forward looking backward. You canโt step into new blessings while still entertaining old baggage.
I love how God always motivates us to be better people every single day. He didnโt just put us here to existโHe put us here to do a mighty work. Each of us has a purpose, a calling, and a future. And the only way we can walk in success, real success, is to understand that Godโs way is always the best way.
Iโve seen it so many times: people try to do things their own way, ignoring what God instructed. They try to build, hustle, and create outside of His will, and every time, they fail. The Word says in Proverbs 14:12, โThere is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.โ Godโs path may not always feel easy, but it is always the right one.
For me, Jesus taught me to wake up every morning with prayer, seeking God first, and putting Him above everything else. Matthew 6:33 reminds us: โBut seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.โ When you start your day with Him, when you align your heart with His Word, everything else falls into place. Peace falls into place. Joy falls into place. Provision falls into place.
Now, let me tell you something: this walk with God is personal. Yes, fellowship is powerful, yes, community is important, but at the end of the day, your relationship with God is between you and Him. When you die, you are going alone. When you stand before God, it wonโt be with your friends, your family, or the people you tried to drag along with you. It will be you and Him.
Thatโs why we must grow in understanding. Growth means realizing you canโt take everybody with you. Not because theyโre bad people, but because God hasnโt prepared them for the same level yet. Sometimes youโre ready to enter the next season, and theyโre still stuck in the last one. If you keep forcing it, you risk missing your blessing or delaying your destiny.
So my encouragement to you is this: keep striving to be the best version of yourself. Keep pressing forward, keep trusting that God knows the plans He has for you. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, โFor I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.โ God has already mapped out your life. Donโt let someone elseโs unwillingness to move keep you from what He promised.
Donโt give up. Donโt lose hope. Trust God every step of the way. Philippians 4:13 says, โI can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.โ That means no matter what comes your way, no matter who walks away from your journey, you are equipped to keep going because God is with you.
And one more thing: love Godโs commandments. Jesus said in John 14:21, โHe that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.โ Thatโs powerful. When you live in obedience, you get to experience His presence in ways that are undeniable.
So family, let this be encouragement for you today. Donโt get discouraged by who canโt come with you. Donโt get caught up in who doesnโt understand your journey. Focus on God. Trust Him with all your heart. And know this: He is faithful to provide every step of the way.
I know without a doubt that this word will impact somebody. I know itโs going to encourage someone to let go of dead weight, to stop looking backward, and to finally walk into the future God has waiting for them.
So be blessed, keep pushing forward, and rememberโJesus Christ is Lord, and through Him, all things are possible.
With love,
Ya Girl Renae
