So I stopped by Walmart today and decided to grab one of those corn dogs they got under the heat lamp. They got this little time thing posted saying when they put the food out, so you kinda expect it to be fresh, right? Well, the one I picked up had a tag showing it was put out after 1pm. I wasn’t even trippin’ about that, I was just hungry and thought, “alright cool, still good.”

But man… when I opened it up, the whole corn dog was straight up burnt. Like black on the inside. My phone couldn’t even capture how bad it really looked — the picture made it look better than it was. I still tried to eat a little bit, but it was nasty.

I’m just wondering, does Walmart even check the food before putting it out? Or are they just slapping stuff under the light and hoping folks don’t notice? I’m not one to complain too much, but when you’re paying for something hot and “fresh,” you don’t expect it to look like it sat in a fire pit.

Anybody else ever deal with this at Walmart or anywhere else? I’m curious if this is just my store being lazy or if it’s a common thing.
