I’ve been telling y’all for a long time that the signs of the times are right in front of us, and one of the clearest warnings we keep seeing is earthquakes. They are happening more often, they’re more powerful, and they’re hitting places that don’t usually see them. Every time you turn on the news, another city is shaken to its core. Whole communities are being destroyed, families are displaced, and people are left wondering why the earth is trembling so violently. But if you’ve been following me on Kingdom Influence Media, you know this is no surprise. The Bible already told us this would happen.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:7–8: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” Did you catch that? Earthquakes are not just random natural disasters—they are birth pains. They are contractions in the earth, warning us that something bigger is coming. And let me tell you, these “birth pains” are getting closer together and more intense, just like a woman in labor. That means time is running short. We’re moving closer to the moment when the whole world will see that prophecy has been fulfilled.
Think about what’s been happening just in the last few years. Major earthquakes have rocked Turkey, Syria, Haiti, Japan, Mexico, and even parts of the U.S. Places that were thought to be “safe zones” are now trembling. Scientists say seismic activity is on the rise, but believers know this isn’t just science—it’s Scripture. Romans 8:22 reminds us: “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”
The earth is groaning, and these earthquakes are proof. God is shaking the ground beneath us, trying to wake us up. But instead of repenting, most people are treating these disasters like just another headline.
Look at what happens after every quake. People run to governments for help, but the government can’t stop the ground from shaking. They run to money, but money can’t buy stability when the earth splits open. They run to false hope, but hope in man can’t rebuild what God is tearing down.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you cannot put your trust in politicians, in banks, or in worldly systems. Earthquakes remind us that nothing in this world is stable. The strongest buildings can collapse in seconds. The richest economies can crumble overnight. What looks permanent today can be gone tomorrow.
That’s why Hebrews 12:26–27 speaks so loudly right now: “At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’ The words ‘once more’ indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.”
Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. That’s exactly what we’re seeing with these earthquakes. God is stripping away the illusion of security in this world so that only His truth will remain. And let me be clear—this isn’t fearmongering. This is the reality of what God said would happen. The Bible doesn’t say “maybe” there will be earthquakes in the last days. It says there will be earthquakes in various places, and we are watching that prophecy come alive right now.
Every earthquake is a wake-up call. Every tremor is a reminder that the end is near. Every collapsed building is proof that this world is temporary. And if you’re still ignoring these signs, you’re choosing blindness over truth. When the ground shakes, the question isn’t whether the government will respond fast enough or whether insurance will cover the damage. The real question is: Are you ready to meet God?
Because here’s the truth: earthquakes are only the beginning. Jesus said they are the birth pains—the first contractions. And if the first pains are this strong, can you imagine what’s coming next?
But here’s the good news: while the earth shakes, God’s Word never moves. Isaiah 54:10 says: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. That’s the hope we have. When everything else falls, Christ stands. When the world crumbles, His kingdom remains unshaken.
So my message today is simple: don’t ignore the earthquakes. Don’t scroll past the signs. Don’t harden your heart while God is speaking through the shaking. Repent now, for the kingdom of God is at hand. Turn from sin, turn from false hope, and turn to the only One who can give you peace when the ground beneath you crumbles. His name is Jesus Christ, and He is the Rock that will never fail.
Because when the shaking comes—and it will—the only safe place to stand is on Him.
