Let’s just be real for a second. Why do we even watch the news anymore? What’s the point of sitting down, tuning in, and watching a headline scroll across the screen when we already know it’s only going to tell us half of the story? That’s not journalism. That’s not “reporting the facts.” That’s straight up control. And yes, I’ll say it—America has turned into a dictatorship in more ways than we want to admit. The government decides what we get to hear, what we don’t get to hear, and how it’s all framed so we believe what they want us to believe.

Think about it. If something is wrong in this country, don’t we have the right to know it’s wrong? And if something is right, don’t we deserve to hear the truth about that, too? But no, that’s not how the system works anymore. The media doesn’t exist to inform us—it exists to shape us. To make us think a certain way, to keep us divided, and to keep us blind.

Here’s the problem: when the media only gives you one side, they take away your ability to think for yourself. They turn you into a follower instead of a thinker. They hand you a script and expect you to read it, word for word, nodding along like everything they say is gospel. But here’s the thing—there’s only one gospel, and it doesn’t come from CNN, Fox News, or MSNBC. It comes from God.

God never lies. He doesn’t twist a headline, he doesn’t cut out the part of the story that doesn’t fit the narrative. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. Whether you like it or not, God’s truth stands. And that’s what scares people. Because when you measure man’s version of “truth” against God’s truth, you start to see just how corrupt this world has become.

Let me put it plainly: no man is perfect. The Bible says it clearly—every single one of us has fallen short of the glory of God. So how on earth can we put blind faith in reporters, politicians, and talking heads on TV? You can’t give one man all the credit and then destroy another man’s name in the same breath. That’s not justice, and that’s not truth. That’s manipulation. And that’s exactly what our so-called “free press” has turned into.

I’ll tell you what the media doesn’t teach us: accountability. Every single one of us will have to stand before God one day and give an account for what we’ve done. If you lived by the sword, you will die by the sword. If you lived by lies, you will be judged by truth. The media doesn’t want you to think about that. They want you to think that life is about picking sides, choosing teams, and making enemies out of people you don’t even know. But that’s not God’s way.

God’s way is truth. His way is freedom. And freedom isn’t about saying what’s popular—it’s about saying what’s real. And sometimes the truth hurts. Sometimes it’s not what we want to hear. But that’s exactly why it matters. Because the truth doesn’t change to fit your feelings. The truth stands whether we like it or not.

That’s why I say we need to be free thinkers. We need to stop swallowing whatever headline is fed to us and start asking the hard questions. We need to start standing up and saying, “Wait a second, that doesn’t sound right.” Because at the end of the day, if you’re not standing for truth, then what are you standing for? A lie? And if you’re okay with a lie, then you’re okay with being deceived.

But here’s the good news: God isn’t a lie. God isn’t a spin. God isn’t a narrative. He’s truth, plain and simple. And when you start reading His Word, you’ll notice something—you begin to see the lies for what they are. Suddenly, the story being painted in front of you doesn’t make sense anymore. You see the brush strokes, the cover-ups, the erasures. You recognize it’s not reality, it’s theater.

The Bible says people honor Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. That’s what I see in our society right now. A lot of people talking about “freedom” and “justice,” but their hearts don’t mean it. Their hearts are chasing power, money, and control. And the media? It’s just their loudspeaker.

So let me ask you this: Do you want to live by lies, or do you want to live by truth? Do you want to be told what to think, or do you want to think for yourself? Do you want to be manipulated by man, or do you want to stand firm on God’s Word, which never changes? I know my choice. And I know this: the truth will always belong to God. The media can lie. Governments can twist. People can fail. But God never does.
