Reflection
Life often has seasons where the weight feels unbearable — where waiting on God seems endless, and doubts try to whisper louder than faith. Hebrews reminds us that confidence in Christ is not something to toss aside when storms hit; it’s the very anchor that keeps us standing.
God promises that when we persevere, when we refuse to give up even when things don’t make sense, His promises will come to pass. He doesn’t delay out of neglect — He delays out of perfect timing.
A Short Story
Think of a farmer who plants seeds. He waters, he tends, but the ground looks the same for weeks. No green sprout, no evidence that anything is happening. It would be easy to stop watering, to say, “Nothing’s working.” But beneath the soil, life is stirring. The seed is breaking open, roots are forming, and in time, the breakthrough comes.
In the same way, your prayers and obedience are not wasted. Even if you don’t see results yet, God is working beneath the surface. Your job is to keep watering with faith and perseverance.
