From the very beginning of His ministry, Jesus Christ faced resistance and rejection. Many people struggled to accept Him not only because He was a Jewish leader, but because of the extraordinary claims He made about His identity. He openly declared that His Father was God in heaven and spoke words that aligned Him directly with the divine, saying, “I and the Father are one.” For many in His time, this was too much to accept. The idea that the Son of a carpenter could be the Son of God shattered their expectations and provoked anger, disbelief, and persecution.
Despite the opposition, Jesus lived as the perfect example of humility, service, and love. He embodied the truth that “to be the least is to be the greatest.” While others sought power and recognition, Jesus stooped to wash the feet of His disciples, healed the sick, embraced the outcast, and taught forgiveness even toward those who hated Him. His life was a living testimony that true greatness is found in selfless love.
The tension surrounding His identity reached its climax at the crucifixion. Many mocked Him, doubting His claim to be the Son of God and the promised Messiah. Yet, in that very moment of suffering, the truth was revealed. As the skies darkened and the earth shook, even the Roman centurion who stood guard at the cross declared, “Surely this man was the Son of God.” What was once rejected became undeniable: Jesus truly was, and is, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The beauty of Christ’s story is that rejection did not define Him—resurrection did. He rose from the grave, conquering death and proving that He lives forever. Throughout history and even today, countless testimonies affirm encounters with the living Christ. From visions and dreams to lives transformed by faith, evidence continues to show that Jesus is not just a figure of the past but a living Savior who still draws people to God.
In the rejection of Christ, we see humanity’s struggle with pride and disbelief. In His crucifixion, we witness God’s ultimate act of love and sacrifice. And in His resurrection, we see hope for all generations. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, remains the eternal example of love, humility, and truth—a Savior who turned the world upside down by showing that the least truly shall be the greatest.
