I’ve got to be honest — this whole situation with Trump and Zelenskyy just doesn’t sit right with me. When I heard that Donald Trump supposedly told Ukraine’s president to accept Putin’s terms or “be destroyed,” my jaw literally dropped. That’s not something a leader of the free world says. That’s something you hear from a man who thinks he runs the world.

What happened to standing up for freedom? What happened to backing people who are literally fighting for their country, their homes, and their lives? Instead of offering real leadership, Trump comes off sounding like he’s doing Putin’s bidding — like he’s just repeating the same threats the Kremlin has been throwing out for years. And I don’t care how anyone tries to spin it — that’s not diplomacy, that’s intimidation.

It’s wild to me that Trump can look at a man whose country is being bombed and tell him to just give up land to the man causing it. That’s not “making peace.” That’s giving in. That’s betrayal. It’s like watching someone get bullied on the playground and telling them, “Well, maybe if you give him your lunch money, he’ll stop hitting you.” That’s not logic. That’s cowardice.

And it’s not even just about Ukraine. It’s about what that kind of message sends to the whole world. If the U.S. president is basically saying, “Let the bully have his way or else,” then what’s stopping other bullies from doing the same thing? That’s how dictatorships grow — by realizing nobody’s going to stop them. It’s scary to think that someone who wants to lead this country again is talking like that. It sounds more like a threat than a strategy.

What really gets me though, is Trump’s tone. Every time he talks about Putin, there’s this weird admiration — like he respects the guy for being ruthless. He talks about Putin like he’s a genius, while mocking leaders who are actually fighting for democracy. That’s sickening. A real leader doesn’t glorify aggression. He stands against it.

And let’s be real — Trump’s been showing dictator tendencies for years. The way he talks, the way he bullies people who don’t agree with him, the way he thinks everyone owes him loyalty instead of accountability — it’s all right there. So when I hear that he told Zelenskyy to take Putin’s deal or else face destruction, it doesn’t shock me. It just confirms the type of man he’s become.

I’m not saying the war in Ukraine is simple. It’s complicated. People are tired. But the answer isn’t to tell the victim to surrender. The answer is to find a real path to peace that doesn’t involve bowing to a war criminal. Because the second we start excusing tyranny, we lose a piece of our humanity.

At the end of the day, this whole thing shows who Trump really is — someone who likes control, fear, and domination. He doesn’t want peace; he wants power. And if you can’t see that after this, I don’t know what to tell you.
