Excerpt:
I’m just sitting here shaking my head. You mean to tell me somebody from Minnesota really offered $45,000 to have Attorney General Pam Bondi killed? We are living in some dangerous times, y’all. Nobody is safe anymore, not even the folks working in the government trying to do their jobs.

Man, when I read about that Minnesota dude putting up forty-five thousand dollars for somebody to take out Pam Bondi, I had to stop what I was doing and reread it twice. Like what in the world is going on with people’s minds lately? Folks ain’t got no chill, no fear, no morals. You can’t even be a public servant these days without somebody online making a hit list or bounty post like it’s some kind of sick joke.

And the craziest part he posted it on TikTok like it was a meme or something. A whole red target dot on her head, the words “Reward: $45,000. Dead or alive.” You can’t tell me people haven’t lost all common sense. What kind of world are we living in where something like that even crosses somebody’s mind to post? That’s not trolling, that’s pure evil.

I get that people disagree with politicians and leaders trust me, I don’t agree with half the stuff that happens in D.C. either but come on. That doesn’t give anybody the right to call for violence. Once you start saying somebody deserves to die, that’s a whole different level of hate. And the sad thing is, this kind of energy has become normal. Every day there’s a new headline about someone threatening a judge, a mayor, or some government worker.

It’s like people have gotten so angry and bitter they think the only solution is violence. But it’s not fixing nothing. All it’s doing is making the country more divided and dangerous. Imagine working your whole life to get to a high-ranking position, thinking you’re doing something good, then waking up one day to see your face on social media with a sniper dot and a cash reward on your head. I can’t even imagine how that must feel.

And then you look at the person behind it somebody with a rap sheet already, known for stalking and battery just walking around free long enough to post something like that? The system gotta do better, because too many of these folks with violent histories are out here acting reckless again and again.

We’ve entered a time where hate is trending. Like, for real. People share more posts about hurting others than helping them. And that’s what scares me. I don’t even think half of these people understand how serious it is. The FBI traced that man down in no time, found his phone, his IP address, all that. These agencies don’t play about threats like this. But the fact that we even need to be talking about this shows where our world is heading.

It’s sad because social media was supposed to be about connecting, sharing, having fun now it’s turned into a battlefield of threats, fake news, and attention-seeking people doing outrageous stuff for clout. But threatening someone’s life isn’t clout, it’s criminal.

And honestly, I’m worried about where this is all going. Every time somebody makes a violent post online, it gives the next crazy person more courage to do the same thing. It becomes a chain reaction. I’m not even shocked anymore when I see stories like this. It’s like the internet took the filter off people’s humanity.

We’re supposed to be better than this. We’re supposed to protect the people who protect us — even when we don’t like them, even when we don’t agree with them. You can dislike somebody and still not wish death on them. Somewhere along the line, people forgot that.

So yeah, seeing this story about that Minnesota guy really hit me. It reminded me just how dangerous it’s gotten out here. Nobody is untouchable. Not politicians, not officers, not even regular folks. That’s why I say people need to wake up before this hate culture gets even worse.

Because right now, it feels like everybody’s walking around with anger bottled up and no sense of control. And when that spills over online when folks start putting money on people’s heads like it’s a game that’s when we’ve officially lost it. We better pray this country finds its way back to some kind of peace before it’s too late.

It’s wild because this guy really thought he could offer money for a hit online and not get caught. Shows you how delusional some people are. Glad the FBI took it seriously. We gotta stop making violence look cool or like it’s some kind of rebellion. It’s not—it’s just stupid.

You’re right, Nathan. We’ve entered a time where clout means more than compassion. People want views so bad they’ll post something evil just to get attention. It’s not funny, it’s sick. I worry about what comes next if we keep letting this slide.

Craig

I totally agree with this post. Social media has made people way too bold behind screens. They say and do things they would never have the guts to do in real life. The hate online is turning real, and it’s dangerous. I miss when people could debate without all the death threats and wild stuff.

This right here broke my heart. Pam Bondi might not be everyone’s favorite, but threatening her life? Nah, that’s too far. These people act like the internet is invisible, but the FBI is watching. Folks need to understand words have power and consequences. Glad they caught that guy before he hurt somebody.

Steven

Man, you said it perfectly. People really have lost their minds. It’s scary how normal this kind of talk has become online. Back in the day, you could disagree with someone in power without wanting them dead. Now it’s like everyone’s on edge, ready to explode. It’s a whole new level of crazy out here.
