Ladies, let me just say this right now do not waste your money on that 40pcs Cold Wave Perm Rods Set from Amazon. I’m not even joking when I say this is the worst set of rods I have ever purchased in my entire life. I don’t know who approved this product, but they should be embarrassed.

So picture this: I’m in my bathroom, hair washed, sectioned off, got my little spray bottle ready, feeling cute and ready to roll my hair. Soon as I start using these rods, they start popping apart like cheap toys from the dollar store. I mean literally popping open while I’m trying to roll my hair. I’d get one side wrapped up nice, then pop the clip flies off and the whole curl drops. I was so mad I had to stop and just stare at the mirror like, “Is this for real?”

Now, I’ve used plenty of perm rods before, from beauty supply stores to the ones my mama used to have back in the day, and never had this kind of mess. These right here? They feel flimsy, plastic weak, and they don’t hold your hair tight at all. I even tried being gentle thinking maybe I was snapping them too hard, but no same thing. Soon as I twist it just a little, it pops apart again.

And let’s not even talk about how the package looks cute online but when you get it, it’s nothing like the picture. The plastic’s thin, the ends don’t snap right, and some of them don’t even line up. Like, who designed these? You can tell whoever made this product has never actually rolled hair before.

I know Amazon got some gems on there, but this one ain’t it. Amazon should really check the quality of some of the stuff they let sellers push on there because this was a whole waste of time. I had to go dig through my old stash of rods just to finish my set because these kept breaking.

Moral of the story? Save your coins. Don’t get fooled by the pictures or the “great reviews” that probably fake. Go to your local beauty supply, pay a few more dollars, and get something that actually works. These 40pcs perm rods belong in the trash — not in anybody’s head.
