I’m furious right now. Uber Eats has made it nearly impossible to get any real help when something goes wrong with your order. I had a driver literally sitting in her car doing nothing while my food got cold, and I couldn’t reach a single person from Uber. No call, no chat, no help—nothing. How is this even safe or acceptable in 2025?!

Let me just say this straight up—Uber Eats has gone completely downhill when it comes to customer service. I had one of the worst experiences recently, and I don’t even know how they can legally get away with running a delivery service that doesn’t allow you to contact them when something goes wrong. Like, what happened to having an actual support team?
Here’s what went down: I placed a simple order, nothing complicated. The restaurant was nearby, five minutes away max. I watched the app as my order got picked up, and then suddenly… nothing. The driver just stopped moving. I’m watching the GPS and she’s literally sitting there in her car, not near any other restaurant, not making another delivery—just sitting. And I’m thinking, okay, maybe she’s lost, or maybe she had to take a quick call. But five minutes turned into ten, ten turned into twenty, and by the time thirty minutes rolled around, my food was probably ice cold.
So naturally, I go into the app to try to contact Uber Eats support. Guess what? You can’t. There’s no way to call them. The “help” option takes you in circles—one big loop of useless FAQs and pre-written answers that don’t solve anything. And the chat option? Gone. Not visible. Not working. It’s like they don’t even want you to reach a human being. The last known number I had for them was 1-800-593-7069
I sat there thinking, What if this wasn’t just about cold food? What if a driver got aggressive? What if a customer felt unsafe? There’s no way to instantly reach Uber Eats anymore. And that’s not just bad service—that’s dangerous. They’re out here handling people’s locations, addresses, money, and meals, yet they’ve made it impossible to talk to a real person.
The crazy part is that Uber as a company has the nerve to advertise how “responsive” and “customer-focused” they are. Please. That’s a lie. Because when you need help—when your driver is doing something shady or when your food’s missing—they completely vanish. You can’t even dispute anything in real time. You just have to wait, hope, and pray they get back to you via email hours or days later.
And don’t get me started on refunds. Half the time, they make you jump through hoops just to get a partial refund, even when the problem is obviously on their end. How does that make sense? I paid for food that never arrived, or arrived cold, and I can’t even get through to a person to explain what happened. It’s like the company’s whole goal is to wear customers down until they just give up.
It’s honestly disappointing because Uber Eats used to be my go-to delivery app. I’ve spent a lot of money with them over the years, but lately it feels like they couldn’t care less about the people keeping them in business. Every update they roll out seems to make the app harder to use, especially if you’re trying to report an issue. And this whole “no live chat, no phone number” setup is ridiculous.
There should be accountability. There should be a way to speak to a representative in real time—especially when your money is already out there and your order’s gone wrong. How can a billion-dollar company not have a simple customer service hotline? Every other business that takes money from people has one!
This whole situation just left me feeling powerless and scammed. I didn’t get my food on time, the driver was suspiciously sitting in one place for almost half an hour, and Uber Eats gave me zero ways to fix it. If this is what “modern convenience” looks like, I’ll pass. I’d rather go pick up my food myself than deal with this nonsense again.
Uber Eats, if anyone from your company is reading this—get it together. Bring back customer service that actually serves customers. Because right now? You’ve got people out here frustrated, hungry, and ignored. And that’s not just bad business—it’s a total failure in customer care.

They used to have great customer service too. I remember being able to chat with a live person right in the app. Now it’s all automated nonsense and “please check our FAQ” messages. Like bro, I don’t need an FAQ I need my dinner. 🍔
Girl, you said it ALL. 🙌 I had the same thing happen last week! My Uber Eats driver parked a few blocks away from my apartment and just sat there for 20 minutes. I tried every button in the app to reach someone and it just sent me in circles. No chat, no call, no NOTHING. Uber Eats really needs to fix this before they lose everybody.
