I’ve got a big job interview in New York and can’t decide between my black closed-toe heels or red knee-high boots. Help me pick the right look that’s professional and stylish for a cold day!

Hey everyone 👋🏽 So I’ve got a job interview today, and I’m kind of freaking out not about the questions (well, maybe a little 😂), but about what to wear. It’s cold out here in New York, and I’m trying to balance looking presentable with staying warm.

Right now, I’ve picked out my outfit: a black turtleneck sweater, a multicolored flannel-style skirt that falls right around my knees, and a thick winter coat to throw on top. The outfit itself looks neat and professional enough, but I’m totally stuck on the shoes.

I tried on two options: my classic black closed-toe heels and these bold red knee-high boots. I took a picture in my mirror (please ignore the mess in my studio apartment it’s been one of those mornings 😩). You can see me wearing both pairs, and I just can’t decide which one gives off the right vibe. The heels look more traditional, but the boots feel warmer and maybe a little more modern?

This is for a serious job interview, so I definitely don’t want to look over the top. But at the same time, I still want to show some personality. I’ve got on black tights too, so my legs won’t freeze! So what do y’all think? Should I go with the heels for that classic “I mean business” look, or the knee-high boots for a confident, city-chic vibe?

I feel you, choosing shoes for an interview is stressful 😅 Honestly, the black heels are super safe and professional, but the red boots are so fun and confident.
If it were me, I’d go with whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident bcz that energy really shows in an interview. Either way, your outfit sounds amazing and you’re going to rock it! 🤭
