GOD reminded me that my feelings will switch up on me in a heartbeat, but He never will.
A word. A whole sermon in one sentence.
The truth is, our emotions move like the weather. One day it’s sunshine, the next day it’s thunderstorms with no warning. And if we’re being real, we’ve all made decisions off of feelings… decisions we later regretted. Feelings are powerful, but they are not stable, and they definitely are not spiritual guidance.
Your feelings can make you think God left you when He didn’t.
Your feelings can make a toxic person look like a blessing.
Your feelings can make sin look comforting and obedience look uncomfortable.
Your feelings can make you believe a lie before you ever check the truth.
But God?
God does not change. 🙏
He does not shift.
He does not wake up in a mood.
He doesn’t say “yes” today and “no” tomorrow.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And because He never changes, His truth never changes, even when our emotions drag us all over the place.
Sometimes something feels right just because it’s familiar… not because it’s godly. Sometimes something feels wrong just because it’s new… not because it’s bad. And that’s why we don’t walk by feelings — we walk by faith.
Faith says, “I don’t feel strong, but God is.”
Faith says, “I don’t feel loved today, but God is love.”
Faith says, “I don’t feel steady, but He is my rock.”
Your feelings may tell you stories that shift every day, but God only tells the truth. 💛 So the next time your emotions start talking loud — fear, anxiety, discouragement, or even excitement that might not be from God — just pause and ask yourself:
“Is this how I feel… or is this what God said?”
Because one will deceive you…
and the other will deliver you. 🙌✨
If you’ve been living by your emotions, don’t feel bad. We all have moments where we get caught up. But today is a good day to check yourself and say:
“Lord, teach my heart to follow You, not my mood.”
And trust me — He will. 💛
