Man listen… I was just watching a movie with Keke Palmer and it really hit me… why is it so hard to take her serious in certain roles? 😭 Like don’t get me wrong, she TALENTED, funny, full of personality… but that’s kinda the issue. It’s like she always bringing Keke into the role instead of becoming the character.

Same thing lowkey with Kyla Pratt too. I grew up watching her, so I got love for her… but when it’s time for them deep, emotional, serious scenes… I be like 😐 something ain’t connecting. It don’t feel natural. It’s like they pushing too hard instead of just letting the moment breathe.

And with Keke especially, it’s like she got that BIG energy… which works PERFECT for comedy, hosting, interviews, all that 🔥 but serious roles need subtlety. Sometimes less is more, you know? I’m not even hating, I actually like both of them. But I can’t be the only one who feels like certain actors just fit better in certain lanes. Everybody ain’t meant for everything 🤷🏽‍♀️

Like let Keke shine where she SHINES. That comedic, bold, outspoken vibe? That’s her lane ALL DAY 💯
