Google keeps dancing around the issue when it comes to paying creators fairly through Google AdSense. Like, let’s be real for a second, without creators, blogs, and independent websites, what exactly is Google indexing all day? What content are people even searching for? We are the backbone of that entire system, yet somehow we’re treated like we should be grateful for crumbs.

You spend hours—sometimes days, writing content, researching, editing, optimizing for SEO, making sure everything is original and valuable. Then you finally get traffic, and what happens? Suddenly there are “policy violations,” “invalid traffic concerns,” or vague explanations that don’t even make sense. And just like that, your earnings are limited or withheld. It starts to feel less like a partnership and more like a setup.

What really gets me is the lack of transparency. If something is wrong, say exactly what it is. Don’t hide behind generic automated messages that leave people guessing. Creators aren’t stupid—we can fix issues if we actually know what’s going on. But instead, it feels like the system is designed to keep people confused while protecting Google’s bottom line.

And let’s talk about fairness. The ad revenue model only works because creators bring in the audience. Period. So why is it so difficult to share profits in a way that reflects that? It’s like the more effort you put in, the more hoops you have to jump through just to get what you already earned.

At the end of the day, creators just want consistency, honesty, and fair compensation. That’s not asking for too much. It’s asking for basic respect. If platforms like Google really value creators, then it’s time they start showing it, not with empty policies, but with real accountability and fair payouts.

In my experience, you almost have to have a strong social media following to share your links to. I won’t say it’s impossible but you’d have to have a pretty good site to succeed without social media in my opinion.
