You will never convince me that there werenโ€™t multiple people who knew what was happening to this girl. Thereโ€™s just no way. Situations like this donโ€™t happen in a vacuum. Somebody saw something. Somebody heard something. Somebody felt like something wasnโ€™t right and chose to ignore it. And thatโ€™s the part that makes me the most angry. The question is, where was her parents? I do not understand why her parents did not stop her from being all over social media with this man. She was just too young!

We always want to act shocked after everything comes out, like โ€œhow did no one know?โ€ But letโ€™s be real, people do know. They just donโ€™t speak up. Whether itโ€™s fear, loyalty, money, or not wanting to get involved, people stay quiet when they shouldnโ€™t. And that silence? Thatโ€™s what allows things to keep going.

Itโ€™s easy to point fingers at the main person responsible, and yes, they absolutely should be held accountable. But we also need to start talking about the environment that lets this type of behavior continue. The enablers. The ones who โ€œdidnโ€™t want to assume.โ€ The ones who looked the other way because it wasnโ€™t directly affecting them.

That mindset is dangerous.

Because if even one person had spoken up sooner, maybe things couldโ€™ve been different. Maybe it wouldnโ€™t have gone as far as it did. Weโ€™ll never know, but thatโ€™s exactly why it matters.

At some point, we have to stop pretending ignorance is innocence. Itโ€™s not. If you see something wrong and say nothing, youโ€™re part of the problem too. Harsh? Maybe. But real. People need to start choosing whatโ€™s right over whatโ€™s comfortable. Every single time.
