A young girl didn’t deserve ANY of that. Period. When you hear about someone being groomed and manipulated, it’s not “drama” or “tea”—it’s real harm. It’s someone taking advantage of trust, vulnerability, and power. And that’s what makes it so sick.

People love to act like victims “should’ve known better.” Nah. That’s not how this works. Grooming is calculated. It’s slow. It’s someone breaking down boundaries over time, making things feel normal that should never be normal. By the time the victim realizes what’s happening, they’re already deep in it. That’s not weakness—that’s manipulation.

And the person doing it? Selfish. Straight up. Only thinking about themselves, what they want, what they can get away with. No regard for the damage they’re causing. No concern for how it affects someone else’s life long-term. That’s what really gets me—how someone can move like that and still sleep at night.

Then when it all comes out, it’s excuses. Deflection. Acting surprised like they didn’t know better. Come on. You knew exactly what you were doing. Nobody accidentally manipulates someone over time. That takes intention.

And the scary part? Some people really think they won’t get caught. Like there aren’t consequences. Like the truth won’t come out eventually. But it always does. It might take time, but it comes out.

What we need to stop doing is downplaying this stuff. Stop brushing it off. Stop making it seem less serious than it is. Because situations like this leave real scars—mentally, emotionally, sometimes for life.

Protect people. Listen when they speak up. And hold folks accountable when they cross the line.

Because nobody deserves to be put in that position. Ever.
