I’m really getting tired of these companies acting like people don’t care about shipping times anymore. I ordered something from Walmart thinking it was going to come in a reasonable amount of time, only to find out AFTER I paid that the item is basically coming from China and now I have to wait forever to get it. That honestly made me mad because if I knew that beforehand, I would have just ordered it from Amazon and had it here in a few days.

What makes it worse is Walmart tries to make everything look like it’s right there ready to ship, but then after you order, suddenly you start seeing all these delayed shipping updates and weird tracking information. Now I’m sitting here looking at a delivery date that’s almost a month away. A MONTH? Come on now. That’s crazy in 2026.

I think what frustrates me the most is how companies don’t really value people’s time anymore. If somebody orders something online, especially from a huge company like Walmart, they expect the item to already be in a warehouse somewhere nearby. Not floating across the ocean. People order things because they need them now, not because they want to wait 30 or 40 days like it’s some kind of mystery package.

And before anybody says “well it’s probably from a third-party seller,” Walmart still allows it on their platform. So at the end of the day, it still reflects on Walmart. If you’re going to have outside sellers, at least make it VERY clear before people checkout that the item is shipping internationally and is going to take forever. Don’t wait until after the money is already taken to suddenly hit people with the truth.

This is why so many people still choose Amazon over everybody else. Amazon may not be perfect, but at least most of the time you know your package is coming quick. Half the time they got stuff arriving the next day or even the same day. Walmart is trying to compete with Amazon, but situations like this make them look unorganized.

And honestly, this whole thing just made me not even want to order certain things from Walmart online anymore. I don’t have patience for all this waiting and guessing. I understand delays happen sometimes, but don’t advertise things like they’re readily available when they clearly are not.

The crazy part is companies wonder why customers get irritated and start complaining online. It’s because people are spending their hard-earned money and expecting decent service in return. Nobody wants to feel tricked after placing an order.

I’m just saying Walmart really needs to tighten this up because people are noticing. If an item is coming overseas and is going to take a month to arrive, put that in big bold letters BEFORE checkout so customers can decide if they still want it. Don’t wait until after payment to suddenly reveal the truth.

At this point I’m over it. Lesson learned. Next time I might just stick with Amazon because at least I know I won’t be waiting till next season for my package to show up 😭📦
