I’ve been seeing a lot of people complaining about the new trash cans that were put out in East Arcadia, and honestly, I don’t understand the problem. To me, this is actually a good thing. We have a lot of elderly people in our community who can’t always get up, load their trash into a vehicle, and drive somewhere to dump it.

Having trash cans available makes life a little easier for them and for other families who may have health issues or transportation problems. Not everything the county does has to be viewed as something negative. Sometimes it’s okay to admit that something is actually helping the community.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think this is one of those changes that can make a difference for people who really need it. Instead of focusing on the negatives, maybe we should appreciate the fact that some residents will benefit from having a more convenient way to dispose of their trash. What do you think? Are the new trash cans a good addition to East Arcadia, or do you agree with the complaints?
