I really want to know if anybody else who has Four County Electric has noticed their electric bill going up really high lately, because I just received my bill today and it is over $300. Normally, my electric bill is only a little over $100, so when I saw more than $300, I was honestly shocked.

I understand electric bills can go up depending on how much electricity you’re using, especially during extremely hot or cold weather, but going from a little over $100 to more than $300 is a huge difference for me. That’s not a small increase. That’s the kind of increase that makes you start looking at your bill and wondering exactly what happened.

I was also told that prices went up in January because of some type of service fee or increase. I understand that companies sometimes have to raise their rates and fees, but at what point does it become too much for regular people who are trying to keep up with their monthly bills?

Everything is already expensive. Groceries are expensive. Insurance is expensive. Housing is expensive. Now you open your electric bill expecting something around what you normally pay and suddenly you’re looking at a bill that’s hundreds of dollars higher.

I’m definitely going to be looking more closely at my bill because I want to understand exactly where this increase is coming from. Was my electricity usage actually that much higher? Did the rate change? Are there additional fees? Something has to explain why there is such a major difference.

And that’s really why I’m making this post. I want to hear from other Four County Electric customers. Has your electric bill gone up recently too? If your bill normally runs around $100 or $150, are you suddenly seeing bills around $250, $300, or even higher? Have you compared your electricity usage with the same time last year?

I’m genuinely curious because if a lot of customers are seeing these kinds of increases, then this is something we need to be talking about. Let me know what your Four County Electric bill has been looking like lately because mine being over $300 when I’m normally paying a little over $100 definitely caught my attention.
