So now we’re finding out that Tasha K’s GoFundMe apparently didn’t bring in anywhere near what she was hoping for, and there are reports that she has put her home up for sale while continuing to deal with the money she owes Cardi B. My question is: What is really going on here?

I saw people discussing this on Facebook, and something about this entire situation just doesn’t sit right with me. If Tasha K recently landed what has been described online as a major business deal, why would she still be in a position where she’s fundraising and selling property while dealing with this judgment? I’m not saying that having a business deal automatically means someone has millions of dollars sitting in the bank, because contracts, payment structures, expenses, debt, and legal obligations can be complicated. However, from the outside looking in, I can understand why people have questions.

I’m also seeing people make spiritual claims online, including accusations that Tasha K somehow “sold herself to the devil” because of the deal she allegedly made. I want to be careful with that because none of us should present something that serious as fact without evidence. We don’t know what agreements she has made privately, what is happening spiritually in her life, or everything that is happening with her finances. Social-media speculation should not automatically become truth simply because enough people repeat it.

What I will say is that I think Tasha K needs to seriously consider the direction she is going in. After everything that has happened, I would hate to see her continue making decisions that create even more problems for herself. Sometimes there comes a point when you have to stop, examine the road you’re traveling, learn from what has happened, and decide whether continuing in the same direction is really worth the cost.

Instead of celebrating someone’s downfall, I think this is a time when people should pray for her. Pray that she receives wisdom, makes better decisions, finds peace, takes accountability where accountability is needed, and recognizes when it is time to change direction. You can disagree with someone’s actions and still pray that their life gets better. Sometimes the greatest testimony isn’t proving everybody else wrong; sometimes it’s finally having the wisdom to recognize when something needs to change.
