College is supposed to be a time of growth, freedom, and exploration—but for a young Christian, it can also be a season of intense testing. I want to share my story because I know I’m not alone, and maybe someone reading this will find hope in it.

When I started college, I was excited to make friends, learn, and explore new opportunities. But almost immediately, I faced situations that tested my faith. Parties, peer pressure, and conversations filled with negativity about God made me feel isolated. There were times I questioned whether I could stay true to my beliefs while fitting in with everyone else.

One semester, I faced a huge moral dilemma. A group of friends encouraged me to participate in something I knew went against my values. I felt pressure to say yes—but in that moment, I remembered the prayers and lessons from my youth. I took a stand, even though it meant losing some friends. It wasn’t easy, and I felt lonely, but I also discovered a strength in God I had never known before.

College also brought academic pressures, financial struggles, and moments of doubt. I often felt overwhelmed, but I leaned on prayer, Scripture, and the support of a few godly mentors. Every test I faced became a lesson in patience, faith, and perseverance. I realized that staying true to God didn’t mean I had to compromise on success or happiness—it meant that my success and happiness were rooted in Him.

To any young Christian navigating college life: you are not alone. You will be tested in ways you never expected, but God is faithful. Surround yourself with people who encourage your faith, pray daily, and remember that your choices today build the foundation for the person God is calling you to be.

Your faith may feel like it’s under attack, but every challenge is an opportunity to grow closer to God and become the young adult He created you to be. Keep trusting Him—He will see you through.
