Reflection:
Many of us think that serving God means performing countless tasks or trying to “earn” His favor through our efforts. Yet Jesus simplifies it: the work God desires is to believe in Him—the one He has sent, His Son, Jesus Christ. Belief is not just intellectual acknowledgment; it’s trusting, following, and surrendering your heart to Christ. When we believe, our lives naturally align with God’s purposes. Faith is the foundation; everything else flows from it.
Biblical Affirmation:
“I believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. My faith pleases God, and through Him, I have life and purpose.”
Short Story:
Sarah had always been busy trying to please God—she volunteered at church, helped neighbors, and tried to live a “perfect” life. Yet, she felt empty. One day, a friend simply asked her, “Do you truly believe Jesus is who He says He is?” Sarah realized her focus had been on doing for God rather than believing in Him. That day, she prayed, surrendered her heart, and put her trust fully in Jesus. Peace and joy flooded her life in ways no good deed ever had.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, that we may know You through Him. Forgive me for times I’ve tried to earn Your favor through my own efforts. Teach me to trust fully in Jesus, believing in Him with all my heart. May my faith guide my actions, and may my life reflect Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
