Don’t Let the Enemy Kill Your Spirit

Family, I need to talk to you about something real. A lot of us are walking around letting people, situations, and even our own doubts break our spirit. And when your spirit is broken, it feels like you’ve got no energy, no drive, no confidence to keep moving forward. But I want you to catch this—when you lose that fire inside, you’re not just slowing down in life, you’re also slowing down in the work God has placed in you. That’s exactly what the enemy wants.

See, the enemy doesn’t have the power to take the Spirit of God out of you. That’s impossible. If you belong to Jesus, His Spirit lives inside you permanently. But what the enemy can do is try to wear you down, discourage you, and convince you to quiet yourself. He knows if he can steal your joy, he can silence your testimony. And if he can silence your testimony, then God’s name doesn’t move through the atmosphere the way it’s supposed to.

Let’s be honest—how many of us have caught ourselves shrinking back, doubting ourselves, or feeling too drained to even speak life into somebody else? That’s not just random tiredness. That’s a spiritual attack. Because if you stop sharing the gospel, stop encouraging others, stop being bold in your faith, the enemy has already scored a win.

But let me remind you: confidence is not arrogance. Confidence is faith in action. When you walk in confidence, you’re saying, “I believe God is in me, and I’m not going to hide it.” Hebrews 10:35 says, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” The confidence you carry in Christ literally has a reward attached to it. So why let the enemy rob you of something that God Himself promised to bless?

The only way the enemy can take down a person filled with the Spirit of God is to go after their joy. That’s why Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Think about that. If joy equals strength, then no wonder the enemy tries to rob it from you. Without joy, you feel weak. Without joy, you don’t feel like pushing forward. And without joy, your testimony goes quiet.

But here’s the truth—greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You don’t have to live quiet. You don’t have to live defeated. You don’t have to accept the lies that say you’re not good enough, that nobody’s listening, or that your story doesn’t matter. Revelation 12:11 tells us, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your story, your voice, your testimony is a weapon against the enemy. That means silence is exactly what he’s after.

So what’s the solution? Don’t give up. I know that sounds simple, but sometimes we make things more complicated than they are. Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up.” That “due season” is coming, but only if you keep moving. Keep praying, keep speaking, keep believing, and keep sharing what God has placed inside of you.

Don’t let anyone or anything convince you to bury your confidence. You’re supposed to live out loud, not shrink back. When you carry yourself boldly in Christ, you’re not just representing you—you’re representing the kingdom. And the kingdom doesn’t lose.

So today, I want you to make a choice. Refuse to let the enemy break your spirit. Refuse to let discouragement have the last word. Refuse to walk around silent when you know you’ve got the Spirit of God inside you. Remember, the enemy only wins if you quit. But as long as you keep going, keep living in confidence, and keep speaking God’s truth, the gospel keeps moving through the atmosphere. And that, my friends, is victory.

It Just Wasn’t Meant To Be!

God is not reacting to your life. He already knows the outcome. He already knows what will grow you, what will break you, and what will distract you. So when something doesn’t work, understand this…
