Iโm sorry, but I have to say it โ this whole situation with Trump selling watches right now is absolutely ridiculous. We are in one of the most critical times as a country, and yet, instead of talking about solutions for struggling families, jobs, or the rising cost of living, this man is out here hawking watches. Expensive watches. On top of that, letโs not forget that just a little while ago, he was selling โTrump Bibles.โ So, whatโs next โ Trump holy water?
I was watching the Midas Touch podcast, and they were talking about how heโs out here selling these watches like some kind of celebrity influencer, not someone who ever held the highest office in the land. Itโs hard not to shake your head when you think about it. This is a man whoโs supposed to represent leadership, but heโs acting more like a salesman. From Bibles to watches โ really?
Meanwhile, people in this country are struggling to pay rent, put food on the table, and keep their lights on. Weโve got families choosing between gas and groceries, and the economy is squeezing the life out of working people. But weโre supposed to be impressed that Trumpโs got new merchandise? No, this isnโt leadership โ itโs self-promotion. And it shows just how far gone things have become in this country when people canโt see it for what it is.
Letโs talk about those so-called โTrump Biblesโ for a second. God made it clear that His word is sacred. You donโt take the Word of God and commercialize it for profit, especially not to glorify yourself. Thatโs not ministry โ thatโs mockery. God said not to create or alter His Word for personal gain, and yet Trump turned around and branded Bibles with his own name. That alone shouldโve been enough for Christians to take a step back and question whatโs really going on here.
Itโs sad to see how easily people are distracted. Folks are more concerned about buying these products than about where their country is headed. Inflation is still out of control, peopleโs savings are evaporating, and weโre talking about designer watches. It feels like weโre living in a parody of America โ a place where we celebrate the people who exploit faith and hardship instead of calling them out.
Iโm not attacking the Holy Bible. Iโm talking specifically about Trumpโs version of it. Thereโs a big difference between the living Word of God and something thatโs been turned into a political souvenir. Nobody with spiritual discernment should be buying a Trump Bible or a Trump watch. You donโt need his brand to find Jesus. You donโt need his merchandise to get closer to God.
The truth is, Jesus doesnโt charge admission. He doesnโt need marketing. Heโs not running a sale on salvation. And yet, thatโs exactly whatโs happening โ religion and politics have become a marketplace. People are losing their jobs, their homes, and their faith in the system, and all theyโre being sold are distractions.
America, we need to wake up. The government is hanging on by a thread, the economyโs unstable, and too many people are living paycheck to paycheck. This is not the time to be idolizing a man who keeps turning faith and fame into a business. If weโre going to survive this era, we have to stop putting trust in political figures and start putting our trust back in Jesus. Because He โ not Trump, not Washington, not the media โ is the only answer that can truly save this nation.
