I honestly don’t even know what to say at this point. Spectrum is down again — not just in my area, but apparently all over. And this isn’t just a one-time inconvenience. It’s like every few weeks, something goes wrong. The service goes out, the connection lags, or the speed crawls slower than a snail. I’m starting to wonder if I made the right decision switching over to Spectrum in the first place.
Before this big outage even started, I noticed something was off. For the past few days, my internet connection kept dropping randomly. Pages were taking forever to load, and streaming anything felt like a chore. I brushed it off at first, thinking maybe it was temporary, but now that everything is officially down, I can’t help but feel like this was coming all along.
And the part that really burns me? I switched to Spectrum because WoW was absolutely horrible. I thought I was upgrading, but I’m beginning to think I just traded one problem for another. You’d think for the amount of money Spectrum charges every month, their service would at least be dependable. But no — we’re constantly paying premium prices for subpar service.
What’s worse is that Spectrum never seems to have a clear answer when something like this happens. “We’re aware of an outage and working to restore service.” That’s their go-to line every single time. Meanwhile, people like me have work to do, meetings to attend, and deadlines to meet. But we can’t do any of that when the internet decides to take a day off.
So I have to ask — did anyone else notice their internet acting up before the outage officially hit? Because I swear, it’s like Spectrum has been falling apart piece by piece lately. At this point, I don’t even know if it’s worth sticking with them. Between the rising bills and the constant disruptions, I’m really starting to feel like they’re taking advantage of us.
If I wanted unreliable service, I could’ve just stayed with WoW. At least then, I would’ve expected disappointment. But with Spectrum, they make all these promises about reliability and high-speed internet, yet they can’t seem to keep things running for more than a few weeks without something going wrong.
Honestly, it’s ridiculous. We shouldn’t have to settle for this kind of nonsense in 2025.
