A man speaking at a podium with a microphone, gesturing with his hand, and a bold text overlay that says 'KINGDOM INFLUENCE MEDIA' in contrasting colors.

Let me just say this right off the bat — Donald Trump is not backing down, and I don’t blame him one bit. After everything this man has been dragged through in the media for years, he’s finally coming back swinging with that $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. And honestly? It’s about time someone stood up to these so-called “journalists” who think they can twist stories, spin narratives, and assassinate a person’s character with no real accountability.

Now, I know a federal judge already threw out Trump’s first complaint earlier this year, calling it “too long” and “digressive.” But let’s be real — that’s just legal jargon for “we don’t want to deal with it.” You mean to tell me that a former president of the United States can’t even get his case heard because the paperwork was too wordy? Give me a break. When it comes to anyone else, the courts bend over backward to make accommodations. But when it’s Trump? Suddenly, every procedural technicality becomes a mountain too high to climb.

What really gets me is how The New York Times hides behind the First Amendment every time they’re caught pushing an agenda. Freedom of the press doesn’t mean freedom to lie. It doesn’t mean you get to run stories with misleading headlines and “anonymous sources” that later turn out to be nothing but political gossip. During the 2024 election, they went out of their way to paint Trump as corrupt, chaotic, and unfit — all while ignoring the scandals and failures happening on the other side. That’s not journalism; that’s manipulation.

And people wonder why trust in the media has hit rock bottom. This is exactly why. The Times has become more about politics than facts. It’s not about informing the public anymore — it’s about controlling the public narrative. Every article feels like an editorial, every “exclusive report” feels like an ambush. And when Trump tries to fight back, they laugh it off as if he’s delusional or overreacting. But imagine if the shoe were on the other foot — if a liberal politician sued a conservative paper for the same thing, you’d have every major outlet covering it like it was the trial of the century.

Let’s also not forget that Trump’s lawsuit isn’t just about him. It’s about setting a precedent that the media cannot continuously defame people and then hide behind “journalistic integrity.” What integrity? Half of what passes for journalism these days is nothing more than clickbait and rumor disguised as fact. They’ll destroy a reputation in a single headline and then quietly retract it weeks later when the damage is already done.

The $15 billion figure might sound excessive, but maybe that’s what it takes to wake them up. Maybe that’s what it takes for these giant corporations to understand that words have power — and consequences. For years, the mainstream media has treated Trump as their favorite punching bag, assuming he’d just take it on the chin and move on. But this time, he’s fighting fire with fire, and frankly, I think that’s exactly what’s needed.

People forget that media influence during an election can shift votes, shape opinions, and alter history. When the press uses its platform to intentionally mislead or destroy someone’s character, that’s not free speech — that’s an attack on democracy itself. So whether you love or hate Trump, this lawsuit matters. It’s not just about one man’s ego; it’s about reining in a system that’s gotten too comfortable operating without consequences.

If the courts dismiss him again, it’ll just confirm what many of us already suspect — that the system isn’t built for fairness, it’s built for control. But if the case moves forward, even slightly, it might just send shockwaves through every newsroom that’s forgotten the line between reporting and propaganda. Either way, one thing’s for sure: Trump isn’t going quietly, and The New York Times might finally have to answer for the chaos it helped create.

You know what? Trump is being completely delusional if he actually thinks this $15 billion lawsuit proves anything except how far gone he is. He’s not some persecuted martyr—he’s the guy who’s demolished so much of what made this country workable in the first place.

Let’s call it like it is: the man is stupid if he believes a gag-order court will let him sue The New York Times out of existence. He thinks money and lawsuits silence critics. That’s not strength, that’s insecurity. He’s planting litigation after litigation like weeds, hoping one will choke out whatever voice he dislikes.

And meanwhile, what has he done to win? He’s shredded institutions, poked holes in our norms, pillaged public trust, and handed the media—even his enemies—ammunition. He tries to come back with a lawsuit, but fails at even obeying the basic rules of court: his first 85-page draft was too meandering, too full of invective and PR bluster, so a judge tossed it.

That says everything. Not that the judge hates Trump, but that Trump can’t even operate in a system he supposedly wants to lead. He can’t follow rules. He can’t make a case. He can’t govern responsibly.

And “ruined the country” is no overstatement. Under his leadership, the politics of chaos became the default. He uses the machinery of government like a wrecking ball—ushering in norms breakdown, scorched-earth feud politics, rollback of regulatory guardrails, emboldened corruption, weakening of checks and balances. That’s not governance; that’s demolition with a cocky grin.

If he thinks filing lawsuits willy-nilly against newspapers fixes that, he’s got zero grasp on what’s been lost. The press, courts, civil society—all battered. And who pays for that? The public, the future.

Trump floating these massive sums isn’t confidence, it’s desperation. Desperation to rewrite reality through fear, to go scorched earth against critics, to intimidate the media into silence. But you don’t fix democracy with bluster or by dragging newspapers into court—you defend institutions, you appeal to principles, you offer solutions. He’s incapable of doing any of that.

So yeah, I’m going to call this: Trump is stupid for thinking he could win. He’s managed to ruin more than half of what held the country together in his name. Now he’s suing the very institutions that are all that’s left to push back.

At this point, I don’t care if you love him or hate him—just admit the man has no clue. He’s not fighting for justice. He’s lashing out because he can’t accept that his destruction is deeper than any headline or lawsuit.

He’s lost the field far beyond any courtroom.

Kate’s Voice 🎙

Trump has done nothing but divide this country, and it’s honestly heartbreaking to watch. From the way he talks to the way he leads, everything feels like it’s designed to pit people against each other. Families are split, friendships have ended, and the political climate has turned into one big shouting match — and a lot of that started under him.

He doesn’t bring people together; he thrives on chaos and conflict. Every time he opens his mouth, it feels like he’s stirring the pot on purpose. Instead of uniting Americans, he’s created a culture where anger, blame, and finger-pointing are the norm. You can’t even have a simple political conversation anymore without it turning ugly, because people have been conditioned to think in extremes — “us versus them,” “patriot versus enemy.” That’s not leadership; that’s manipulation.

Trump’s presidency left a scar on this country that’s still healing. We saw hate crimes rise, racial tension explode, and political violence become normalized. He made people feel like it was okay to say and do whatever they wanted, no matter how cruel or divisive, as long as they called it “free speech.” The truth is, he didn’t strengthen America — he weakened its core.

And now, watching him refile this lawsuit against The New York Times feels like déjà vu. It’s the same old Trump move: attack anyone who challenges him instead of taking responsibility. Like you said, Kevin, it’s insecurity masquerading as strength. A real leader knows how to take criticism and use it constructively. Trump only knows how to turn criticism into a war.

What’s even sadder is how his influence still lingers. People still fight about him as if he’s the center of their universe. He’s managed to divide the entire nation not just politically, but emotionally. It’s exhausting. Every time his name pops up, people brace themselves for another round of chaos — lawsuits, rants, accusations, and endless drama.

You’re absolutely right: he ruined more than just policies. He ruined trust — in the media, in the government, and even in each other. We’ve lost that sense of togetherness that once defined America. Everything is about sides now, and that’s exactly how he wants it. Because as long as we’re divided, he stays relevant.

So yes, Kevin, I agree with you for many reasons. Trump isn’t the solution — he’s the wound that keeps reopening. Until people stop worshiping him like some savior and start acknowledging the damage he’s done, this country won’t move forward. It’s time for everyone to realize that unity doesn’t come from one man yelling louder than everyone else. It comes from people finally deciding they’ve had enough of being divided.
