Sometimes we act like weโre too strong or too spiritual to need helpโฆ but can yโall believe God is literally waiting for us to stop pretending and call on Him?

One of the biggest lessons God keeps teaching me over and over again is this: you will never be perfect, and you will never outgrow your need for Him. It doesnโt matter how long youโve been saved, how often you pray, or how close you feel to the Lordโthere will never be a day where you stop needing His strength, His wisdom, and His presence.
For some reason, we get into this mindset that because we โknow God,โ we should automatically have everything under control. Like the moment we get saved, weโre supposed to magically handle every challenge with no fear, no discouragement, no weakness. But thatโs not real life. And honestly, God never asked us to pretend like weโre superhuman.
What He did ask is for us to trust Him.
The truth is, trying to do everything on your own eventually leads to burnout. Iโve been there more times than I can count. Anytime I start feeling down, confused, weak, or like maybe Iโm not measuring up, I remind myself of something simple but powerful: God is Godโฆ and Iโm not.
And because He is God, He has the power, the strength, and the solutions I donโt have.
There have been days where I had to literally stop in the middle of what I was doing and say:
โLord, Iโm not doing good today. Lord, I need Your help. Lord, Iโm feeling discouraged. Please step in because I canโt carry this by myself.โ
And every single timeโwithout failโGod shows up.
He doesnโt always change the situation immediately, but He comforts me, strengthens me, lifts my spirit, and reminds me that Iโm not walking alone. Thatโs why we have to stop acting like weโre too strong, too spiritual, or too โput togetherโ to call on His name.
You are never too holy to have problems.
You are never too grown in God to struggle.
And you are never in a place where you donโt need Him.
This podcast episode is about learning to let God be God. We have to stop picking up every weight like weโre supposed to handle it all by ourselves. God never asked us to be perfectโHe asked us to depend on Him.
So from this day forward, make it a habit to call on His name in everything. Not just when life falls apart, but in the small moments, the confusing moments, the emotional moments, and the quiet hours where you donโt even know what youโre feeling.
Because the truth is: you will never be able to do it on your own, and you were never created to.
