A lot of people preaching the Word ain’t never actually had a real experience with the Spirit. Yeah, they can quote verses, they can shout, they can “feel something,” but they still haven’t truly met Him. And that hit me like… wow. Because it’s possible to know about God and still not know Him at all. 😮🔥

There’s a truth we don’t talk about enough in the church world: knowing scripture is not the same as knowing God. You can study the Bible from cover to cover. You can memorize verses. You can teach classes, preach sermons, and speak in tongues louder than anybody in the building — and still never have had a true encounter with the Holy Spirit.
And God had to remind me of this today.
See, what we sometimes call “feeling the Spirit” is really just emotion. A moment. A vibe. A reaction to music or the atmosphere. But when the true Spirit touches you? Baby, listen… it changes you from the inside out. There’s no mistaking it. There’s no faking it. And there’s definitely no preaching your way around it.
Some folks are preaching what they read, but they’re not preaching what they lived. And that difference is huge.
Because the Spirit isn’t something you recite — it’s something you experience.
It’s when God reaches into your heart and shifts something you didn’t even know needed shifting. It’s when He corrects you, comforts you, breaks you, heals you, exposes you, loves you, strengthens you — all in the same breath.
It’s not just a verse.
It’s not just a sermon.
It’s not just a feeling.
It’s an encounter.
And when you’ve had that encounter, you don’t walk around the same. You don’t talk the same. You don’t treat people the same. You don’t even react the same. Something in you becomes anchored, and you can tell the difference between people who read the Word and people who carry the Word inside them.
Because reading the Bible tells you what God says.
But experiencing the Spirit shows you who God is.
And that’s what God was telling me — a lot of people are teaching information without ever having transformation. They know the letter, but they never met the Life behind the letter. They sound spiritual, but they’ve never surrendered. They shout loud, but they’ve never bowed low.
And honestly? It makes sense why so many people are confused today. Because you can’t guide anybody into a place you’ve never been. You can’t lead someone into the presence of God when you haven’t gone there yourself.
So today I’m thanking God for the reminder:
Don’t just read Him. Don’t just preach Him. Experience Him.
Because the Spirit is not something you describe — it’s Someone you encounter. And once you meet Him for real, your life will never look the same again. 🙏🔥
