Manโฆ the last days of this fast were rough. Spiritual attacks, family distractions, emotional pressureโbut I didnโt give in. Iโm still fasting, still praising God, and pushing through. Please keep me in prayer.

Iโm writing this because the last few days of my fast were terrible, and I need to be honest about that. Fasting isnโt always the quiet, peaceful experience people imagine. Sometimes it feels like warfare, especially when youโre nearing the end. I noticed something very clearly: the closer I got to finishing the fast, the hotter the pressure became. Distractions came from every direction, and the attacks felt personal, calculated, and relentless.
What stood out to me most is how the Jezebel spirit turns up the heat at the finish line. When youโre almost done, when your discipline has been built, when your spirit is sensitive and focused, thatโs when she tries to derail you. Not because youโre weak, but because youโre strong. The enemy doesnโt waste energy on what isnโt a threat. The goal is always the same: distract you, exhaust you, frustrate you, and convince you that what youโre doing isnโt worth it.
This being the first of the year made everything even more intense. I know exactly why the test came when it did. New beginnings scare the enemy. Commitment scares the enemy. Someone deciding to deny their flesh and seek God scares the enemy. So the chaos increased, the emotional pressure grew heavier, and the temptation to just quit or snap back into old patterns became louder.
There were moments when I had to stop and breathe, moments when I questioned my own emotions, and moments when I had to remind myself that feelings are not facts. Fasting strips away comforts, and when comfort is gone, everything hidden starts to surface. Old frustrations, unresolved pain, and spiritual resistance all try to speak at once. Thatโs when discernment becomes critical. Not every thought deserves attention, and not every emotion deserves a reaction.
But hereโs the truth: Iโm over it. Iโm done being shocked when resistance shows up. Iโm done questioning whether I did something wrong just because things got uncomfortable. If anything, the resistance confirmed that the fast mattered. It confirmed that something was shifting, even if I couldnโt fully see it yet.
What hurt the most, though, was realizing that the devil will even use your own family. That part is painful. When the people closest to you become the loudest distractions, the sharpest critics, or the biggest emotional drains, it cuts deep. Itโs sad, honestly. But Iโm learning not to take it personally. The enemy studies access points, and family is often the easiest door. That doesnโt mean theyโre evil; it means discernment is necessary.
Even with all of this, I didnโt give in. Iโm still fasting. Iโm still praising God. Iโm still choosing obedience over comfort. Some days that praise looks like loud worship, and other days it looks like quiet endurance. Either way, it counts.
This experience reminded me that fasting isnโt just about food. Itโs about exposure. It reveals whatโs hiding under the surface. It exposes spiritual resistance, emotional wounds, and patterns that need to be broken. It also proves that Godโs grace is sufficient, even when the process feels messy and exhausting.
Iโm asking for prayer, not because I feel defeated, but because I want to stay covered. I want strength, clarity, and continued discipline. I want to finish strong and walk forward without bitterness or distraction. Please keep me in prayer as I continue to press in, because I know the breakthrough is always closest when the pressure is highest.
Your prayers matter more than you know, and I believe covering produces clarity, protection, endurance, wisdom, peace, direction, and supernatural strength in seasons like this for me now.
