Let’s be real for a moment… God never left us. Not once. Not ever. Somewhere along the way, many of us started feeling like God was distant, silent, or gone. We say things like, “Where is God?” or “Why did He leave me in this situation?” But the truth that hit me hard is this: God didn’t leave—we did.
God has always been present. He has always been speaking, guiding, and covering us, even when we didn’t recognize it. The real issue is that we drift. We get distracted. We get hurt. We start trusting our feelings more than His truth. And before we know it, we’ve slowly walked away from the very One who never moved.
Think about it—how many times has God already shown you who He is? How many times has He brought you out, warned you, protected you, or spoke peace into your spirit? He has already proven Himself over and over again. But when life gets loud, we forget. And when we forget, we become vulnerable. That’s exactly where the enemy tries to step in.
The enemy’s greatest tactic is not always destruction—it’s deception. If he can make you feel like God isn’t there, you’ll start to believe it. If he can get you to question what God already told you, you’ll begin to doubt your foundation. And once doubt creeps in, confusion follows. That’s why it is so important to stand firm on what God has already said.
God’s word is not based on your emotions. It doesn’t change depending on your situation. It is truth—steady, unshaken, and reliable. When you hold onto His word, you protect yourself from being misled. You guard your heart against lies. You stay anchored when everything around you feels uncertain. We cannot afford to keep chasing feelings while ignoring truth.
If God said He will never leave nor forsake you—then that’s the truth, even on your worst day. If He said you are loved, chosen, and covered—then that’s the truth, no matter what it looks like around you. The problem isn’t that God stopped speaking. The problem is we stopped listening and believing. So today, this is your reminder: God is still here. Right now. In your situation. In your waiting. In your healing. In your confusion. He never abandoned you.
But the good news is—even if we walked away, we can always come back. God is not standing with judgment; He’s standing with open arms, ready to restore, ready to remind you of who He is. Don’t let the enemy fool you into thinking you’re alone. Go back to what God already told you. Hold onto it. Believe it. Live it. Because God never left—you just have to return.
