Letโs be real for a momentโฆ God never left us. Not once. Not ever. Somewhere along the way, many of us started feeling like God was distant, silent, or gone. We say things like, โWhere is God?โ or โWhy did He leave me in this situation?โ But the truth that hit me hard is this: God didnโt leaveโwe did.
God has always been present. He has always been speaking, guiding, and covering us, even when we didnโt recognize it. The real issue is that we drift. We get distracted. We get hurt. We start trusting our feelings more than His truth. And before we know it, weโve slowly walked away from the very One who never moved.
Think about itโhow many times has God already shown you who He is? How many times has He brought you out, warned you, protected you, or spoke peace into your spirit? He has already proven Himself over and over again. But when life gets loud, we forget. And when we forget, we become vulnerable. Thatโs exactly where the enemy tries to step in.
The enemyโs greatest tactic is not always destructionโitโs deception. If he can make you feel like God isnโt there, youโll start to believe it. If he can get you to question what God already told you, youโll begin to doubt your foundation. And once doubt creeps in, confusion follows. Thatโs why it is so important to stand firm on what God has already said.
Godโs word is not based on your emotions. It doesnโt change depending on your situation. It is truthโsteady, unshaken, and reliable. When you hold onto His word, you protect yourself from being misled. You guard your heart against lies. You stay anchored when everything around you feels uncertain. We cannot afford to keep chasing feelings while ignoring truth.
If God said He will never leave nor forsake youโthen thatโs the truth, even on your worst day. If He said you are loved, chosen, and coveredโthen thatโs the truth, no matter what it looks like around you. The problem isnโt that God stopped speaking. The problem is we stopped listening and believing. So today, this is your reminder: God is still here. Right now. In your situation. In your waiting. In your healing. In your confusion. He never abandoned you.
But the good news isโeven if we walked away, we can always come back. God is not standing with judgment; Heโs standing with open arms, ready to restore, ready to remind you of who He is. Donโt let the enemy fool you into thinking youโre alone. Go back to what God already told you. Hold onto it. Believe it. Live it. Because God never leftโyou just have to return.
