Okay… I need to say this because it’s been sitting heavy on me this morning 😩 Why in the world are we being charged just to post a job on platforms like Indeed?! Like seriously… we’re trying to HELP people find work 🧑💼💼 not sell luxury items!
It just feels backwards. People are already struggling to survive… rent is high 🏠💰, lights are high 💡, groceries are high 🛒… and now even the process of helping someone get a job costs money?! Make it make sense 😤 I get it, businesses have to make money. I’m not ignoring that. But at what point do we say enough is enough? Why does EVERYTHING feel like a fee, a charge, a subscription, or a “premium upgrade”? 😒
It’s like… you can’t even help someone without paying first. That doesn’t sit right with me. We’re talking about real people trying to live, feed their families, and keep a roof over their heads. Jobs shouldn’t feel like a pay-to-access system 🚫💵 Am I the only one feeling like this is getting out of control? Or is this just the new “normal” we’re supposed to accept? 🤔

You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. Honestly, it’s becoming harder on BOTH sides, employers and job seekers 😕 What makes it worse is that many small landlords, small business owners, and everyday people trying to hire don’t have big budgets. So now, instead of easily connecting with workers, there’s a financial barrier in between 💸
And on the other side, job seekers are dealing with inflation, limited wages, and fewer opportunities that actually pay enough to survive. So it creates this cycle where: 👉 Employers struggle to afford posting jobs 👉 Workers struggle to find jobs 👉 Everyone struggles to keep up
It feels like systems that were meant to help people are slowly turning into profit-first models 😬 Everything is becoming monetized housing, utilities, healthcare, and now even access to opportunity. That’s why it feels heavier now… because it IS heavier.
People aren’t crazy for feeling frustrated they’re responding to real pressure 📊 At some point, something has to shift. Because if it keeps going like this, it’s not sustainable for regular people trying to build a stable life in America 🇺🇸💔
