Iโm not even gonna lie, this whole situation with Amazon has really been bothering me lately. Like, I just found this out a couple weeks ago and the more I think about it, the more it doesnโt sit right. So boom! Iโm paying for whatโs supposed to be an โad-freeโ experience, right? Thatโs the whole point. Nobody wants to sit through ads, thatโs why we pay extra. But tell me why Iโm still seeing charges tied to shows and movies Iโm already supposed to have access to?
It makes no sense. I literally had to reach out and talk to a rep because I thought I was tripping. When I asked about that $4.99 fee, they basically explained it like itโs some kind of add-on for certain content. But hold onโฆwhy am I paying for ad-free AND still getting hit with extra charges just to watch stuff? Thatโs not how it was presented when I signed up. It feels like one of those situations where you think youโre getting a full package, but really itโs just the base and everything else is hidden behind another paywall.

And the crazy part is, I know Iโm not the only one. People are paying thinking theyโre avoiding ads AND extra fees, but really theyโre just getting pulled deeper into more charges. Itโs like you donโt even realize it until you check your account closely. Thatโs exactly what happened to me.
Iโm definitely adding my screenshots because I need people to see this for themselves. This isnโt just โoh maybe you misunderstoodโ nah, this is something that needs to be explained way clearer upfront. Because right now, it feels misleading. At the end of the day, if Iโm paying for ad-free, it should be AD-FREE. No weird extra charges, no surprises, no โoh this one costs more.โ Just be real about what people are actually paying for.
