Okay… am I the only one seriously freaking out over this Ebola outbreak situation right now?! The U.S. is already putting restrictions on travelers connected to certain African countries and honestly that tells me this situation might be WAY bigger than what people think. Every time governments start talking about travel restrictions and border concerns, my anxiety immediately goes through the roof. 🚨
People can call me dramatic all they want, but after everything the world already went through these past few years, I don’t blame anyone for being nervous. We watched one outbreak completely change life overnight before. Businesses shut down, schools closed, hospitals packed, people scared to even cough in public. So yeah, when I hear “Ebola” in the news again, I’m paying attention. 👀
And before anybody twists this post up, this isn’t about hating people from Africa or attacking innocent people. This is about FEAR of another global health crisis spreading before the world gets control of it. There’s a difference. But let’s be real… people online are saying, “It should have been closed 😂…we don’t need anyone else until we clean house,” and honestly a lot of folks are agreeing because people are terrified of history repeating itself.
What scares me is how fast things spread now. Airports are packed nonstop. International travel happens every second. One mistake, one infected traveler, one delayed response, and suddenly the entire internet is screaming panic again. 🌎✈️
And the media always waits until things get worse before fully sounding the alarm. That’s the part that gets me. They always tell people “don’t panic” right before everybody ends up panicking anyway. 😒
I’m telling y’all right now… this may be the next major pandemic if the world doesn’t take outbreaks seriously EARLY. Ebola is not something small. This isn’t the flu. People hear the word Ebola and immediately think fear because of how deadly it can be.
I honestly think people are mentally exhausted from nonstop world crises, so now folks try to ignore scary news until it’s directly in front of them. But me personally? I’m watching this VERY closely. 👀🦠
Do y’all think the government is overreacting… or not reacting FAST enough?
They did claim there was a vaccine for Ebola. They claim this is a different strain. What I think is frightening is Spain has just allowed thousands of immigrants into their country. These immigrants will migrate through Europe easily. This is just another reason for borders. God bless us all.
