I donโt know if itโs just me, but grocery shopping around here has gotten ridiculously frustrating lately ๐ฉ. Every single time I order from Piggly Wiggly, half the stuff I actually need is either โout of stockโ or replaced with something completely random that nobody asked for. Itโs honestly starting to feel like stores just donโt carry enough inventory anymore.
And donโt even get me started on the produce. The fruits and vegetables have been going bad way too fast lately. I bought bananas that were already turning brown the next day, and the lettuce looked fresh in the app picture but was soggy when it arrived. Iโve noticed this especially with delivery orders. Itโs like the quality drops even more when you use grocery delivery apps because theyโre just grabbing whatever is left on the shelves.
I also feel like smaller towns and cities are struggling more now because we donโt have as many shopping options nearby. Back in the day, stores stayed stocked up better, and you could count on finding what you needed. Now it feels empty, picked over, or overpriced all the time. People are spending so much money just trying to survive that I honestly think many shoppers are buying less fresh food and sticking to cheaper products that last longer.
And yes, politics and the economy probably play a role too. Prices keep going up, products keep disappearing, and customer service feels worse than ever. Sometimes I walk into these stores and it honestly feels depressing because shelves are empty or the quality just isnโt there anymore ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ.
I never thought grocery shopping would become this stressful, but here we are. I just want fresh food, stocked shelves, and stores that actually have the items people order. Is anybody else noticing this too, or is it just happening around my area?
