One of the things that people need to know is that Cricket Wireless is not really a great company at all. One of the main issues that I’m having is that I tried to sign up for a service, and when they realized they could not do the full transfer, they had already taken my money and then refused to give me a refund.

I think this is crazy. When they realized that Spectrum wasn’t gonna allow them to unlock the phone because of other issues, they clearly saw that and still did not wanna provide me back my money that I paid. It was a $60 payment, and they claimed that they can’t give it back because it’s prepaid.

Screenshot of a chat conversation regarding service cancellation with Cricket, mentioning that services cannot be canceled or refunded once activated.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard for them to just reverse the charges. If the service could not be completed, then why should a customer be stuck paying for something that they never actually got to use? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

What makes it even worse is that nobody seemed interested in finding a solution. Instead, I was basically told that because the payment was prepaid, there was nothing they could do. Meanwhile, I’m sitting there out of $60 for a service that was never fully activated.

So if you’re gonna sign up for Cricket Wireless, make sure that you don’t fall into the trap like I did and get $60 taken from you because they refused to give you back your money when the service was incomplete.

I literally had to go through Cash App to file a claim so that I could get my money back. That’s something that should never have been necessary in the first place. Customers should not have to fight for a refund when a company is unable to provide the service they paid for. Sad but true.
