I don’t know what’s going on with YouTube, but it honestly feels like they just stopped showing my videos to people. One minute I was getting views, comments, and new subscribers, and then all of a sudden everything just dropped. It’s like somebody flipped a switch. The part that gets me is that I’m still uploading. I’m putting in the same effort, trying to improve my videos, making better thumbnails, writing better titles, and staying consistent. But none of that seems to matter if nobody even gets a chance to see the videos.
I know people will say, “Just make better content,” and I’m always trying to do that. But it’s hard to believe that’s the only reason when so many creators are saying the exact same thing. It starts to feel like the algorithm decides who gets seen and who doesn’t. I’m not saying YouTube owes anybody views, but I do think smaller creators deserve a fair chance. It gets discouraging spending hours recording, editing, and uploading just to see almost no reach.
I’m going to keep posting because I enjoy creating content, but I can’t lie—it gets frustrating wondering if your videos are even being shown to real people anymore. Has this happened to anyone else, or is it just me? What changes have you noticed with YouTube lately?
