Sony is being thrown on the fire because they are now talking about just continuing physical discs. They want everything digital. The main problem that people are having is that they have to pay for subscriptions to have the service on digital, and then also they have to pay out more out of their pocket to just be able to get the games that they have to also buy.

So you’re gonna be spending more money year-round that people just don’t have. That’s what people are upset about. It feels like every time you turn around, there’s another subscription, another fee, or another reason why you have to spend more money just to enjoy something that you already paid for.

A lot of people like having physical discs because once they buy the game, they own it. They can lend it to a friend, sell it later, trade it in, or keep it on the shelf as part of their collection. When everything goes digital, people feel like they lose that freedom, and that’s a concern for a lot of gamers.

And so people are pretty much saying they’re going to stop their subscription service with PlayStation because it just seems like Sony is doing the most. I can understand why people are frustrated. Not everybody has extra money every single month to keep paying for subscriptions on top of buying new games. Times are hard enough as it is.

What do you guys think? Would you rather keep physical discs, or are you okay with everything going digital? Are people overreacting, or does Sony need to listen to what gamers are saying before they push too far?
