As many of you probably heard, Sega recently spoke out and made it clear that they aren’t planning to stop making physical games. They’ll continue supporting physical media, and honestly, I’m glad to hear it.

I think they saw the reaction people had when Sony started pushing more toward digital, and it showed there’s still a huge group of gamers who want to own their games instead of just downloading them.

There’s just something different about having a physical collection. Whether it’s displaying your games on a shelf, collecting special editions, or simply knowing you actually own a disc or cartridge, physical media still matters to a lot of people. If a digital store ever shuts down or a game gets removed, having a physical copy gives you peace of mind.

I’m happy to see Sega listening to gamers instead of completely abandoning physical releases. Hopefully, other companies continue to support physical media too, because there are still plenty of us who enjoy collecting and owning our games.

What do you think? Do you still buy physical games, or have you switched completely to digital?
